With “Fresh Ink", the worldwide first hands-on exhibition about the stories from Cornelia Funke, we would like to inspire girls and boys to develop a creative and playful way into the rich and fascinating world of books. Besides that, the exhibition points to the importance of reading and writing competence as well as the cultural education for children in today`s society.
In our rapid changing information- and communication society, reading and writing become of outstanding importance. They become the crucial key for children and adults, which gives access into a realm of knowledge.
In the centre of the hands-on exhibition stand the stories of Cornelia Funke: her newest novel “Reckless“ as well as seven other fascinating books and picture books. In varied and imaginatively designed stations children can dive into the narratives “Dragon rider”, “Emma and the blue Genie“ or “The Thief Lord“, and make their acquaintance with “Captain Fire beard“ or “The Monster of the blue planet“.
Activities, puzzles and games with the topics reading, writing and drawing communicate further valuable suggestions for playing and learning.
